COMMUNITY INITIATIVE IN DEVELOPMENT

Last reviewed October 18, 2026.

Our current stage

Project Be Enough is building a community initiative focused on belonging, mental health acceptance, and self-belief in Emporia, Kansas. We intend to become a nonprofit. The information below separates what is available today from work still ahead.

How we intend to use funding

Our intention is to put funds back into the mission: community programs, necessary operating expenses, reserves for future work, and support for aligned programs. No percentage allocations or funding totals are being claimed.

The founding commitment is to serve without personal compensation. This is an intention, not a substitute for adopted governance and financial policies.

Before fundraising or sales begin, we will explain the receiving entity, intended use of funds, relevant fees and expenses, and applicable payment or refund terms.

Accountability as we grow

As the organization takes shape, we intend to publish confirmed board information, adopted policies, and financial summaries. Planned policies include conflicts of interest, spending approval, recordkeeping, and participant safeguarding. These policies are not represented as adopted today.

People deserve dignity

Our planned approach includes permission before sharing photos or personal stories, clear volunteer expectations, and age-appropriate supervision. Participation should never require disclosing a diagnosis or sharing a personal experience publicly.

Project Be Enough offers community connection and awareness. We do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or crisis response. Find independent support resources.

Reporting progress honestly

We intend to report gatherings held, participation, volunteer contributions, and optional feedback. We will distinguish plans from completed work and avoid presenting attendance or feedback as evidence of medical outcomes.
