Our programs / In development

Belonging, put
into practice.

Three ways we hope to turn acceptance, connection, and self-belief into shared experiences in Emporia.

We’re designing the first gatherings.

These are proposed program formats. Dates, venues, age ranges, costs, accessibility details, and registration instructions will be published before participation opens.

01 / Shared Adventures

A seat at the table.

Cooperative games and creative gatherings designed to make meeting people feel more approachable.

Who we’re designing for

People looking for connection through shared interests, including autistic and other neurodivergent participants. No gaming experience would be needed.

What a gathering could include

  • A welcome and simple activity introduction.
  • Cooperative play with options for different experience levels.
  • Choices to participate, observe, or take a break.

What we hope to build

Familiar faces, repeat connections, and a stronger sense of belonging.

02 / Community Connection

You don’t have
to go alone.

Educational conversations that make mental health easier to talk about and local support easier to understand.

Who we’re designing for

Community members and supporters who want to learn, listen, and connect.

What a gathering could include

  • A guest-led conversation on an announced topic.
  • Optional questions and discussion.
  • Information about relevant community resources.

No one would be expected to share a diagnosis or personal story. This is community education, not therapy or crisis care.

03 / Co-Sign Yourself

Your story.
Your path.

Creative experiences that make room for identity, interests, and the next step someone wants to take.

Who we’re designing for

People interested in exploring self-expression and personal goals. Artistic skill would not be a requirement.

What a gathering could include

  • An optional writing or art prompt.
  • Time to create independently or alongside others.
  • A chance to reflect or share, only if desired.

What we hope to build

Confidence in self-expression and encouragement to pursue a meaningful next step.

Help shape the beginning.

Ideas from the people these programs are intended to serve will help shape the first pilot.
